INDICATIONS
Gynomed – M Ovules is indicated for the treatment of Cervicitis, cervical – vaginitis, vulvo-vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, even in cases where the germ is associated with Candida albicans and other bacteria.
CONTRA INDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.
SIDE EFFECTS
Due to poor absorption of metronidazole and clotrimazole after topical administration, systemic adverse reactions are not expected. Occasionally, events may occur by local irritation, contact allergic dermatitis.
PHARMACOKINETICS
Absorption of metronidazole following vaginal topical administration is low and its bioavailability is about 20 – 25 %
3 – 10 % of the vaginally applied dose of Clotrimazole is absorbed.
PRECAUTIONS
The recommended contemporary oral use of metronidazole is subject to the contraindications, adverse effects and warnings described for the product mentioned above.
Gynomed – M ovules should not be used in infants and pregnant women particularly in the 1st semester and only if clearly needed, under the direct supervision
DOSAGE:
One ovule inserted in the vagina, in the evening (at bed time). In addition, associated with administration of Gynomed – M cream, 1 – 2 applications (2 cm) on vulvar area and the perivulvar
PACKAGING: 10 vaginal ovules
